Extension, Loft Conversion & Refurbishment.

Before studio : MASS were appointed this home lacked that all important space where the family could get together, and was made up of a number of small nonfunctional rooms.

Studio : MASS designed a rear extension and side infill extension allowing us the space to open up the kitchen area and insert an island and breakfast bar.  A casual living and dining space was created towards the garden, where the feature apex Crittall doors provide direct access to a beautiful garden.

Thanks to the additional space created to the rear we were able to unlock the potential of the old house and as part of the refurbishment created a formal Living Room together with a separate TV room to the front of the house.

Studio : MASS also designed a loft conversion with rear dormer and roof pod creating a Master-suite Bedroom as well as an additional play room for the children.

We were able to maximise this loft conversion as it was carried out as part of of a joint application with the neighbours.  This planning 'trick' allowed for maximum space, whilst maintaining the symmetry of the two properties.
