This end of terrace Victorian property, was the only house in it's row not to benefit from any meaningful rear extension or outrigger. It was drab and in serious need of some TLC.
Our client seen this, not as a downside, but as an opportunity to create their new family home.
Studio : MASS removed the existing ad-hoc rear bathroom and porch additions, maintaining the original Victorian property to the front, and designed a 3 storey stepped rear extension, including a loft conversion and roof extension.
These extensions together with a full refurbishment of the property allowed us to create an amazing family house with a full Master-suite Bedroom on the top floor and three more double bedrooms at first floor level plus a family bathroom.
At the ground floor level we kept the form of the original house to the front creating a formal Living Room and Snug, whilst the new space at the back was used to create an amazing Kitchen Dining space. This linked directly to the garden through full height feature Crittall doors.
